Vermont Weddings
at The Wilburton Inn
From the moment you turn off Historic 7A on to River Road, you return
to an era of style and romance. The road winds past stone walls and
beautiful homes and finally you arrive at the tree lined driveway of
the Wilburton Inn. To the right the Battenkill valley stretches below
and to the left the Wilburton Inn rises on the crest of the cliff. Nestled
by the Taconic and Green Mountains, the views are breathtaking. Instantly
you know that this is the perfect setting for elegant Vermont
weddings.
At
the Wilburton Inn, each of our Manchester, Vermont weddings
is a superlative event that pairs the wishes of the bridal couple,
the talents and experience of our wedding team with the magic
of the Wilburton Inn setting. The terrace lawn is a natural chapel
and the marble stairway leading to it is the perfect entrance
for the bridal party. The handsome Tudor mansion sets the tone
for a truly gracious reception.
Our
bridal couples and guests come from all over the world. Frequently
the wedding is a centerpiece of a reunion weekend. Weekend activities
may begin with a Friday evening welcoming party and continue Saturday
morning with a jog, golf, shopping, hiking, hanging out by the
pool, a snowman project or a beauty splurge in town. Sunday morning
it is nice to gather one more time with friends and family for
a farewell brunch.
Vermont wedding
styles range from casual to traditional. We have hosted afternoon garden
parties and formal black tie receptions. We encourage our guests to
personalize their weddings. We like to consider ourselves in the forefront
of the Green Wedding movement. In fact we feature organic
vegetables and eggs from or son Oliver's farm Teleion Holon and other
local farmers for all of our weddings. Please ask Paula about Green
Weddings.
We have enjoyed a medieval Vermont wedding with banners, tents and numerous
food stations. A Victorian Vermont wedding flower girl wore a floral
wreath in her hair and pantaloons under her pretty dress.
Our May bride carried a bouquet of lilacs tied with a lace ribbon. We
had a Louisiana wedding with Cajun specialties and New Orleans jazz.
We have had Jewish weddings with chairs raised high
and enthusiastic hora dancing. We welcome small as well as large weddings.
Whatever the theme, we always
provide beautifully presented wonderful food, excellent service and
an extraordinary romantic setting. With pride and confidence, we can
state that Vermont country weddings are our specialty.
Sincerely,
Georgette
